Introduction to Cashmere Goat Breed:

This breed Cashmere goat originates in the Himalayan region of the Kashmir State. These are commercially raised for its wool. The quality and the quantity of the wool of this sheep breed is absolutely profitable returns. These are one of the largest producers of wool all over the world. In the past, these goats are one of the highly populated goats in China. There were about 123 million goats in China. This Cashmere goat is as similar to the Angora Goat Breed, Nigora Goat Breed, and Pygora Goat Breed.  The word Cashmere is determined from the previous name of the Kashmir State.

  1. Zhongwei Cashmere Goat:
  • This breed is originated in the semi-desert and the desert area of Zhongwei which is located in Gansu and Ningxia in China.
